Designer's Inspiration
This elaborate sword necklace is a tribute to the strength and determination of Empress Matilda, the heir to the English throne in 1135. Her cousin Stephen usurped the throne and Matilda fought back for nearly two decades. Ultimately, Matilda's descendants ruled England for over three centuries.
