Designer's Inspiration
Skull imagery has long been used in memento mori jewelry. The Latin phrase "Memento Mori" means "remember you are mortal." In ancient Rome, when a victorious general paraded through the city, a slave was assigned to murmur "Memento mori" in his ear as a reminder that those who are raised high one day may be brought low the next.
